Ghana to have access to Covid-19 vaccine – Akufo-Addo assures Ghanaians

President Akufo-Addo has said that, Ghana will not be left behind in having access to the Covid-19 vaccine approved by the Food and Drugs Administration of the United States of America, and the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency of the United Kingdom.

“Ghana, I assure you, is not going to be left behind in having access to the vaccines” he said.

In his 20th Update address to the nation on Sunday, 20th December, 2020, President Akufo-Addo said he is well informed about the anxieties relating to the safety and effectiveness of the newly developed covid-19 vaccine.

“I am aware of the anxieties relating to the safety and efficacy of newly-developed vaccine” he said

He assures Ghanaians that Government will ensure the Covid-19 vaccine to be deployed in the country are effective and safe. He said, “I have put together a team of experts, from the relevant institutions and agencies, who are working assiduosly towards the procurement and deployment of the vaccines in Ghana.
